Memorial Day Services
The Ladd American Legion Harold E. Russell Post #938 will conduct Memorial Day services in the Ladd Cemetery at 11:45am. At 12:15pm, Jennifer Manning will be the guest speaker at services in War Memorial Park. In the event of rain, the services will be moved to the Ladd Community Center.
Steak & Pork Chop Dinner
The Ladd Men's Club will sponsor a Steak and Pork Chop Dinner on Monday, June 4, 2012, from 4:30 to 8:00pm at the Ladd Community Center. For a $10 donation, a choice of a 10oz New York Strip OR two 8oz Pork Chops and trimmings will be served with lemonade and coffee. A FREE kids meal for children 8 years old and under will be served with hot dogs donated by Hy-Vee. Carry-out and delivery will be available, for orders call 815-303-2859.
Village Wide Garage Sales
Ladd's Annual Village Wide Garage Sales will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Residents wishing to be included on the sale map at no additional charge are asked to contact the Village Clerk's office at (815) 894-2440 by the noon deadline on Saturday, May 26th. Sale maps will be available at the Village Hall, North Central Bank and Casey's on Wednesday, May 30th. For more information, contact Diane at the Clerk's office.

Ladd Library Seeking Recipes
The Ladd Public Library needs your help. No they don't want $$$, they want RECIPES. The library is currently compliling recipes for inclusion in their forthcoming cookbook. Recipe collection sheets are available at the library, the Village Clerk's office or may be downloaded here. They are hoping for widespread participation among the residents of Ladd. Let's get cookin'!
